WCCL shares media duties between Maxus and Lodestar UM

In a major development of a multi agency pitch WCCL (Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting) has consolidated its media mandate with Maxus and Lodestar UM.

This development is the result of a closely fought multi agency pitch by the incumbents and Maxus.

With this new realignment now brands such as Yardley and Wipro lighting will be handled by Maxus.  They were previously handled by ZO and DDB Mudra.

Lodestar UM has retained the mandate for brand Santoor. Wipro has big plans to launch Santoor’s new brand this year.

Lodestar UM has been able to retain a little more than half the account and the major part of the mandate has gone to Maxus. Previously the business was divided between Zenith Optimedia, DDB Mudra and Lodestar UM.

Sources close to the development have confirmed this news.

WCCL is a business unit of Wipro and is a key player in branded retail market of toilet soaps, haircare soaps , baby care products and lighting products along with institutional lighting in segments like software, pharma and retail.
