Weekend Exclusive | I live for the moment: Television Actor Priyanka Bassi

Today we will talk about a sweet and passionate girl who was praised for her role as "Cadet Naina Singh' in Left Right Left. She made a comeback, after a long break of one-and-a-half years with her show, "Rang Badalni Odhani' as Samaira aka Sam. She started her career with India's Second English soap opera 'Bombay Talking' in 2005 where she played Sheena Malik and gave a well admired performance.

Adgully caught up with, Priyanka Bassi, a young, passionate and easy going girl who loves being tough, at the launch of her new show, "Survivor India' to know more about her life and her upcoming plans.

Speaking about her journey so far, she said, "The journey has been really amazing. My first show was "Bombay talking's' and then came Left right Left which was again a very interesting show. I loved my role and character there. After Left Right left, Survivor India is one show for which I have been really excited."

She has always been seen doing distinctive and different roles. And it has been believed that no actress apart from her has been able to carry such roles. She says, "I always wanted to do such "easier said than done' and daring roles and I believe I have always been doing such shows, whether it's Left right Left or Survivor. I feel really blessed that what I wanted to do I have always had an opportunity to do that."

Speaking about her show, she said, "It has been a fabulous experience being a part of this show. Such formats are really rare. Yes it was full of difficulties, pain and struggle, performed extremely difficult tasks but I am super excited to see how I have performed there."

Speaking about her future plans, she told us that she would love to take more such challenging roles. She says, "I live for the moment and I also believe that "challenge' is just a word created by your own psychology. Since I have been really "choosy' in terms of shows, would love to up something really different."

A part from acting, Priyanka has also been seen doing modeling for several brands like Santoor, Bsl suitings etc. Priyanka actually marked her presence with her character, Naina Singh Ahluwlia, which was very a difficult and challenging character and brought a never before noticed and different change on the screen. | By Aanchal Kohli [aanchal(at)adgully.com]
