Delhi all set to host ReRock4 with some great Indian Bands; Brand Del Monte to add an Italian twist to all-day-music festival

Delhi gets ready to rock with ReRock an allday music festival featuring India's rock gurus and newbies from premier school bands. This is the fourth edition of ReRock in India and promises to be the biggest yet. The rockfest will be held on the lawns of Mount St. Mary's School on Jan 14, 2012 from 12 noon to 9.30 pm. The event is being organized by ReRock Entertainment Pvt. Ltd, which is in the business of promoting rock music in India. Sponsors like Del Monte, Navitas, Deakin University, JPC and Steag have extended their support. Free entry family passes are being distributed across corporate , schools, colleges and for the individuals through the web and the organizers expect a huge turnout.

Throughout the day well-known rock musicians will enthrall the crowd with rock classics. Soul Reich, a band led by Loy Mendonsa, of the Shankaar-Ehsaan-Loy trio, will perform for the first time in Delhi as a new band. Loy takes to the stage with well known 80's vocalist Atul Ahuja. ReRock 4 also celebrates legendary 80's band Ebony and honors their lifelong commitment to rock music in India with the First ReRock Award for Loy Mendonsa.

Another band to watch out for will be Gravy Train featuring Amit Kilam of Indian Ocean fame on the drums. There is also ContraBand, a unique group of white-collar professionals who have come together RockOn style to keep their love for rock music alive despite all odds. The event will also feature the ReRock Remix band consisting of Indian rock gurus from the 80's like Electric Plant, White Fang, Applied For and Explosives.

The highlight of the event however will be the coming of age of leading Delhi-NCR school bands. Students of DPS RK Puram, ShriRam School (Gurgaon), MontFort School (Ashok Vihar) and last but not the least, the host school Mount St. Mary's will be showcasing their talent, shoulder to shoulder with India's rock greats. With ReRock 4, the organizers are a step closer to their ultimate ambition of making it a more inclusive event. In future they would like to make it a national event by featuring bands and artists from all over India.

ReRock is not just any other rock festival. It is a cultural phenomenon reaching out to different generations with its combination of legendary rock bands as well as new talent. The organizers expect families to attend the event, rather than just the young crowd. For parents it is a time to remember and relive the best of Indian rock. For their sons and daughters it is an opportunity to rediscover Indian rock. The ReRock phenomenon is based on underlying changes taking place around us and within us in urban India. It is an occasion for families to reunite through their common love for the unique genre of music that we call rock.

This unique amalgamation of great music and family fun will be further heightened with great food. It will be a wonderful outdoorsy fiesta where fans can get a taste of lip-smacking delights from the live pasta counter from Del Monte. Brand Del Monte will be serving some great Italian meals using its authentic Italian packaged products. There will be many other choices of Indian and International meals and snacks at stalls set up by leading fast-food chains.

Get all set to ReRock this Saturday, the 14th of January, 2012:
