YouTube announces a range of design changes and UI updates

With the updates in all other digital platforms, YouTube is also stacking up with a range of design changes and UI updates. YouTube has announced a range of visual modifications and UI updates that will make the app feel ‘cleaner, more lively, and easier to use' for different purposes.
In terms of enhancements, the pinch-to-zoom feature is the most significant one. With this feature, users can expand the playback screen to examine details or elements in videos. This feature is as same as how you can zoom Instagram images via pinch to zoom.

The other update will help users to figure out the exact point of the video clip they need to skip. In addition, YouTube is also coming up with some visual presentation updates which include Ambient Mode, which provides a more visually aligned viewing experience.

To get the essence of colours popping up on your screen, YouTube has also added a new ‘Darker’ Dark Mode. The like, share, download, and subscribe buttons will also be redesigned to minimize the distraction during playbacks, while the links in the description box will turn into buttons.
YouTube is on the route to changing its visual presentations, as one of its updates includes switching the Subscribe button from its current red color. The colors of hashtags changed from blue to white, and the image above hashtags aren’t as upfront, which could draw fewer clicks.
