YouTube gives fillip to the creator community with On the Rise, Explore

David Sharon, Product Manager on YouTube in a video by Creator Insider talks about the company exploring a new tab in the app called Explore where users can discover new videos, topics or creators. While the tab is now available across Android Phones, Desktops, Laptops and iOS phones, only a select group of users who are part of the experiment have access to this new feature.

The video also talks about another feature that the video streaming platform is experimenting with called 'On the Rise' that helps viewers discover endemic home-grown creators or small creators. This feature has already been launching and is accessible in markets like the U.S, India, Japan, and France.  Users who access the ‘Trending’ tab on YouTube can see creators who are ‘On the Rise’ in the creator community. This feature hopes to give a boost to creators who have a subscriber base just under 10K.
