2017 has been an outstanding year for Hindi films and the same reflects in the Viewers’ Choice Nominations list of Zee Cine Awards 2018. Comprising of the four popular categories ‘Best Film’, ‘Best Actor- Male’, ‘Best Actor- Female’ and ‘Song of the Year', this year’s list holds a stiff competition amongst the nominees. 

The Best Film category includes movies across genres that not only have dominated the box office but also received critical acclaim. The nominees in this category are The State v/s Jolly LLB 2, Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, Golmaal Again, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Hindi Medium and Secret Superstar. 

The Best Actor (Male & Female) category applauds the outstanding talent showcased this year. The nominees in this category include Akshay Kumar for his immaculate performance in The State v/s Jolly LLB 2 and Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, Shah Rukh Khan for his feisty role in and as Raees, Varun Dhawan for his charming performance in Judwaa 2, Ayushmann Khurrana for his earnest act in Shubh Mangal Saavdhan and Hrithik Roshan for his courageous portrayal in Kaabil.

Among the female leads, the nominees include Alia Bhatt for her delightful role in Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Bhumi Pednekar for her spirited performance in Toilet – Ek Prem Katha, Sridevi for her fearless act in MOM, Zaira Wasim for her inspiring performance in Secret Superstar, Kriti Sanon for her effervescent role in Bareilly Ki Barfi and Vidya Balan for her flawless entertaining role in Tumhari Sulu.

The Song of the Year category comprises of chartbusters like Laila O Laila for Raees, Tamma Tamma for Badrinath Ki Dulhania, Chalti Hai Kya 9 se 12 for Judwaa 2, Galti Se Mistake for Jagga Jasoos, Zaalima for Raees and Baarish for Half Girlfriend.
