67.3 million viewers watched as India won against Pakistan: aMap

The ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 semi- final match between India and Pakistan played in Mohali on 30 March 2011 has reported a record breaking TRP, according to the latest aMap data. The TRPs have been much bigger and enormous in number compared to ones garnered during the India-Australia or India- West Indies matches in this World Cup.

According to aMap, the average rating for the match has been recorded at 11.74 points with a peak rating of 20.02 at 22.02 pm on 30th March, 2011 (All India CS 4+). The Peak Ratings 20.02 were recorded towards the end as India neared its obvious win over the men in green.

The India-Australia quarterfinal match on 24th March had recorded a TRP of 6.53 points with a peak rating of 10.1 points while India-England match which ended in a dampening tie had garnered the rating of 6.44 points with peak rating of 10.05.

Average Time Spent/viewer was 160 Minutes per person ' by far the highest during this world cup , compared to which average time spent during India Australia and India England remains at 115 minutes and 99 Minutes respectively.

And adding to these stupendous statistics is the fact that around 67.3 million viewers watched the match. Moreover the match led to a 20% dip in the full day GRPs of the GEC genre, with a subsequent increase of 514% in the GRPs of the sports genre over the average of last 4 Wednesdays.
