Angela Mears elevated to global executive creative director at Weber Shandwick

Angela Mears has been elevated to the position of global executive - creative director at Weber Shandwick. The role has been created newly. Tom Beckman, the worldwide chief creative officer, oversees Mears’ work. According to a Weber Shandwick announcement, Mears will engage directly with clients, strategists, and creatives to create borderless teams and new methods of working.
She will be in charge of account management for Airbnb, McDonald’s, and Ingka, the parent company of Ikea. Mears, who has been with the agency for 11 years, was also the executive creative director of the United States West region, where she oversaw creative in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Seattle.
According to PRWeek’s Agency Business Report 2022, Weber Shandwick saw a 4.9 percent growth in global sales to $872 million in 2021, and a 5% increase in revenue in the United States to $520 million. Juliet Fox and Louisa Hager, who will co-lead creative work in the three West Coast cities, will succeed her as creative directors.
