Pratap Bose and Mandeep Malhotra to launch their integrated communications agency by mid-June!

Pratap Bose, former COO, DDB Mudra Group, and CEO, DDB Mudramax is launching his own marketing communications venture. He along with his former colleagues is believed to be part of this upcoming venture. The 3 top people from Mudra Group, whose name has been associated with this venture, are former Chief Youth Marketer, Mr. Samyak Chakrabarty,Mr. Tarun Khanna, former associate vice-president, retail, DDB Mudra and Mr. Mandeep Malhotra, former President and Head, DDB MudraMax - OOH, experiential business, and retail cluster.

The duo of Mr. Pratap and Mr. Malhotra will be launching a ‘conglomerate of agencies’servicing all communication verticals including shopper marketing, digital, outdoor, media buying and planning, rural, retail, experiential, branded content, entertainment and more.On asked about any specialisations he’s looking at, he just had this to say, ‘Everything other than PR will be offered by the organisation’.

They’re extremely pumped up about their partnership and launch of this venture. They are looking at launching their new integrated agency on the 14th-15th of June this year. To start off with 40-50 employees will be on board and by the end of first year they’ve targeted about 150 employees. This agency will be operational across Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.Some portion of funding has been taken care of and rest is in process, but he denied commenting on whether these investors were national or international players.

They’re hiring on a daily basis and have been looking at all the agencies for employment not just the Mudra Group. Post Mr. Bose’s exit from DDB Mudra in April 2014, several of his colleagues from O&M and DDB Mudra group are suspected to join their agency. He had joined DDB Mudra in 2008, after a 15-year-stint at Ogilvy India, last as CEO. In a candid conversation, when asked about any particular vertical he is looking at for clients, he said,‘Anyone who wants to do business with me, I’m happy’.
