Celebrating 10 glorious years of K&K

With ITC Grand Central celebrating 10 years of its signature restaurant K&K, the hotel brings together 8 Master Chefs from across ITC Hotels under one roof. A delectable spread with around 40 different types of melt-in-the-mouth kebabs will be on offer from the restaurant’s armoury of iron tandoors, charcoal & ‘Pathar’ grills along with rustic ‘angethis’ and ‘tawas’.

This culinary experience will have masterstrokes by legendary Chefs including J. P Singh who runs the kitchen of Bukhara at ITC Maurya, one of the best Indian restaurants in the world, apart from Chefs coming together from ITC Grand Chola, ITC Gardenia, ITC Mughal, ITC Windsor, WelcomHotel Jodhpur and Chef Farooqui from K&K at ITC Grand Central. As served in the noble courts and on the battlefield in yesteryears, the fare at K&K is the coming together of ancient culinary secrets, long forgotten herbs and exotic flavours to pamper the palate.

The launch night on 5th September, saw the faces of many stars stepping into the restaurant to celebrate. Among many known faces were Prahlad Kakkar, Karan Grover, Sunita Rao, Claudia, Nisha Jamwal along with the General Manager at ITC Grand Central, Mr. Kuldeep Bhartee.

The highlight of the restaurant is its display kitchens, visible from all corners. Here, the guest can follow his order, from inception, to laying out and to the final production and presentation. The amalgamation of so many minds has brought forth a melting pot of over a hundred new dishes spanning the length and breadth of India.

A feeling of warm open space dominates the restaurant which is distinctly divided into three seating areas – ‘Maidaan’, ‘Kheema’ and ‘Qila’.  Hand crafted jute woven chairs with throw cushions and wood and granite tables forms ‘Maidaan’ the formal dining section. The ‘Kheema’ area resembles community dining of a “Bada Khaana”, complete with long wooden camp tables and benches, an ideal space to have an indulgent ‘Daawat’. Swatches of fabric drape the corners forming experience-enhancing awnings. Offering retreat from the hustle-bustle of the restaurant, ‘Qila’ is an elevated seating area with a setting of wooden chairs and granite-topped tables.
