Court bars Naaptol from displaying items that denigrate Dabur's Odomos

A Delhi district court has barred Naaptol Online Shopping Pvt Ltd from exhibiting items or making posts that allegedly denigrate Dabur India’ mosquito repellent brand 'Odomos'.
The BSE-listed Dabur asserted that by promoting its product 'Electric Mosquito Repellent & Insect Killer' night light on its webpage, Naaptol Online, an omnichannel shopping platform, suggested that the Odomos purportedly causes allergies, causing damage and poor creditworthiness.
Dabur, the manufacturer of 'Vatika' hair oil and 'Hajmola' herbal digestive tablets, asserted in court that it is the original creator and owner of the trademark 'Odomos,' which was first registered in 1962. The firm also claimed that its product had been in the market for decades.
The case will be heard again in court on January 29.
