This Raksha Bandhan, Odomos Celebrates #SurakshaKaBandhan
According to reports by NCVBDC, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, India reported 233251 dengue cases & 303 deaths caused by dengue, 45000 malaria cases and 8067 confirmed chikungunya cases in 2022. The crisis of mosquito/vector-borne diseases in India is evident, with several government and private initiatives joining the fight against them. This Raksha Bandhan, Odomos, India's no.1 mosquito repellent cream, pledges to participate in the battle against these diseases, striving for a healthier India with its #SurakshaKaBandhan Campaign.
Odomos takes a leap of faith inspired by Raksha Bandhan and advocates a strong message of #SurakshaKaBandhan against vector-borne diseases, between siblings. Traditionally, a brother promises his sister protection against all evils when she ties a Rakhi to his wrist. Odomos further strengthens the lovely narrative with an ad film that captures a precious moment between a brother & sister where the sister ties an ‘Odomos Suraksha Bandhan’ to her brother's wrist and says, “Ye hai suraksha bandhan, Odomos ka. Ye teri raksha karega Dengue, Malaria jaisi bimari failane vali mosquitos se.” Her adorable little brother proceeds to tie it on her wrist as well signifying the same promise.
“We recognize & acknowledge the protective care that siblings feel towards each other, even in all adversity. With #SurakshaBandhan, we have taken the opportunity to resonate the same feelings of protection and concern against the rise of mosquito-borne diseases, by urging viewers to protect their loved ones against the scurge of vector-borne diseases with the symbolic & functional Odomos Suraksha Bandhan band.” says Mr. Sanath Pulikkal, Head of Marketing, Home Care - Dabur India Limited.
In addition to the digital campaign, mall activations were also held to raise public awareness about vector-borne diseases. A team from Odomos went to several malls across major cities in India to engage with visitors who were there with their siblings. The events included several fun activities hosted by the Odomos emcee for volunteering brothers & sisters. Q&A sessions, dancing, singing and more, the event was no short of a celebration! Free samples of the Odomos Suraksha Bandhan bands were distributed to siblings who participated.
As a part of the campaign, Odomos’ Raksha Bandhan celebrations also reached our society’s Rakshaks. Suraksha Bandhan bands along with hampers were presented to some Police Officers, Security Guards and Traffic Police Officials across major cities. This symbolizes a pledge to protect our protectors against vector-borne diseases.
Odomos' #SurakshaKaBandhan campaign raises awareness and drives a positive message of protecting your loved ones from vector-borne diseases.
