Exclusive | Betting big on 007: Movies Now's Ajay Trigunayat

Well, if you have missed any of the ‘Bond’ movies, switch to Movies Now this November and enjoy the ‘Bond Festival’. To amplify the larger than life movie festival, MOVIES NOW is doing a mega marketing blitz and promotion through Television promos across major TV networks, Facebook contest in which a winner gets a chance to visit London and sights where the Bond’s latest movie, Skyfall was shot. Digital campaigns, huge OOH initiatives and much more, with this exclusive property ‘Movies Now’ seems to stir the audience this season.  

The release of the most awaited Bond film, Skyfall on 1st November, complemented and garnished ‘Movies Now’s’ Bond festival. To know more about the festive property, Adgully caught with Ajay Trigunayat, CEO, English Entertainment Channels, Times Television Network.

On asking about the reason behind the whole initiative, Trigunayat said, “Movies Now has always believed in giving exciting properties since its inception in terms of better movie experience. From ‘Rocky’ to all the exciting series, we have always given our viewers an amazing movie experience. Same this time also we wanted our consumers to watch all the 22 Bond movies in one go and that too in HD and such a marketing initiate would leverage our reach. ”

To create a huge buzz and awareness for the same, a 360 degree campaign is rolled out stirring the audience on Television, Digital, Café Coffee Day, Cinema activation and through various tie ups. It’s going to be a Bondiful month indeed!

Speaking about the larger than life campaign, Trigunayat said, “This is first of its kind initiatives. As far as television is concerned besides the four Times Television Network channels, the campaign will be seen across 16 channels including many genres and regional languages channels. A lot of Print advertisements would be seen in The Times of India.”

“And On the out of home platform, huge activities will be seen in 225 sites and 4,400 spots in cities like Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad. The campaign will have high footfalls,” he added.

Also in terms of engaging the audiences digitally and keeping in mind the channel’s reach on its social media platform like Facebook, Movies Now has launched a contest on its facebook page which has around 1.8 Mn fans. Not only that, there will be many polls and the winners will get the opportunity to stay at the prestigious RadsissonBlu, Edwardian London, visit The Aston Martin Headquarters in Warwickshire, they will also get a private tour of the Royal Naval College where Skyfall was filmed they will also get to see and visit the National Gallery and O2 which is one of the most popular entertainment venues of the world.

As told by Trigunayat, the viewers can also access the contest on their fingertips. Mobile banners on the best apps will ensure maximization of entries. Apart from all this, some of the renowned Café Coffee Day outlets will have 6 special beverages named after all the 6 James Bond.
