Realm Media picks Ankur Bose as President

As planned, Realm Media is moving towards becoming a full service agency by 2013. To accelerate this change for the agency, Realm has got on board- Ankur Bose, who will spearhead Realm Media’s transition to a full service media, communication & entertainment content company - path breaking digital and true blue analog! He will also bring to use years of experience of mentoring and working with large teams to help Realm in setting up and training the existing team to deliver on his core expertise areas of consumer activation, shopper marketing, events & promotions, rural marketing etc. One of his prime responsibilities would be to lead the agency to do innovative and path breaking work, so that we can register and win awards at globally recognised award programs. He will also work towards creating tie-ups and associations for Realm and will also be a spokesperson for the company. One of his primary responsibilities will be to generate new business for the company in all of the above areas and ensure that Realm is able to increase its client foot print manifold.

An old school, new age professional, Bose is armed with over 15 years of “action” packed experience.

In the official communiqué, Yuvraj Agarwal, Founder & Group CEO - Indraksh Media – the holding company of Realm Media said “We believe in chasing excellence, not success. Realm Media- a 360 degree media agency, Realm Retail – a top end retail brand identity design and execution company, Realm Digital – an end to end digital media solutions company and EMM India – a JV with UK based EMM International to offer media management/media audit to blue chip clients nationally.”

Ankur is a self taught professional. In 1997, dropping out of college, he began designing exhibitions and writing copy at JWT (HTA Then). He was first recognised for designing the India Pavilion at World Expo 2000, Hanover, Germany.

With time, his business acumen took over and he joined Lowe Lintas to run its Events & Promotions division in Delhi. Recognising his potential to grow businesses, the management moved him over to Calcutta as the Branch Manager of Linterland, to explore the potential of Rural Markets. What was slated to be a humble beginning for the Rural Marketing practice, saw itself becoming a large revenue branch in 2 years. He spent a little over 4 years at Lowe Lintas across 2 divisions and won respect as a marketer.

In 2006, Ankur joined Ogilvy, to head the Rural Marketing services business at Delhi. He was recognised consistently during the 5 years he spent there and was made a Vice-President in 2008. He held many positions across verticals at Ogilvy. Amongst them as Country In-Charge of Operations across 12 State Offices, 6 Full Service Offices and 285 member team for 3 Divisions of OgilvyAction: Retail, Live & Outreach.

Ankur’s last stint was at Cheil Worldwide as Vice President – Southwest Asia where he was responsible for Activation, Retail, OOH Media, Digital, Advertising for Non-Samsung Accounts and New Business Acquisition.
