Expedia announces Insiders' Select Awards 2010

Expedia, the world's leading online travel agency, has announced the 2010 Insiders' Select results, an annual ranking of the world's best hotels for quality and value as determined mostly by traveler reviews. The results were announced by Daniel Lynn, Vice President and Managing Director, Expedia Asia Pacific, during his recent visit to India.

According to Daniel Lynn, Vice President and Managing Director, Expedia Asia Pacific, said, "With the Insider select awards, Expedia seeks to single out the world's best hotels, based on the unbiased opinion of travelers across the world." He continued to add, "Even while travel emerges as the largest eCommerce categories for India, Indian consumers are quite diffident about making hotel bookings without peer endorsements. Hence while we already offer our consumers with the largest and most extensive inventory of over 120,000 hotels across the world to choose from, the Insider's Select Awards further helps our consumers to make an informed decision, keeping in mind key facets like customer service, amenities and competitive pricing."

The 2010 Insiders' Select list reflects a remarkable cross-section of properties in different regions, representing various accommodation types and star rating categories. The feature that each Insiders' Select property has in common is a surpassing commitment to value. The Expedia 2010 Insiders' Select list includes properties in 1,022 cities worldwide.
