Facebook partners with Cannes LIONS to celebrate Advertising creativity

Cannes LIONS is an annual international summit which celebrates the advertising and marketing creativity every year. Due to the pandemic, this will be a virtual event, with sessions live-streamed over the next week.

Tech - Giant Facebook recently announced their partnership with Cannes LIONS for a range of new initiatives providing insight into how brands are making best use of the platform's ad tools and processes. The session will also include discussions on importance of creativity and innovations.

Key Points explained by Facebook,

As noted by Facebook, it will also be presenting awards in two categories: 'Glass: The Lion for Change' and the 'Sustainable Development Goals Lions'.

"Glass is a dedicated Lion celebrating culture-shifting creativity, and a place to commend ideas intended to change the world that address gender inequality or prejudice. The Sustainable Development Goals Lions celebrate creative problem solving, solutions or initiatives that harness creativity and seek to positively impact the world." 

The tech company is also providing 500 members from the Rise Program — as an initiative to support agency workers affected by the pandemic — with complimentary Cannes LIONS Live virtual access passes.
