Former Unilever EVP Hemant Bakshi appointed as Ola CEO

ANI Technologies, Ola's parent company, has appointed Hemant Bakshi, a former Unilever executive, as its new CEO.
This move comes as part of a restructuring effort within the company, which aims to streamline operations and focus on three distinct business units: ride hailing and mobility, financial services, and logistics and e-commerce.
Bhavish Aggarwal, the previous CEO, is stepping away from his role amidst these changes.

Hemant Bakshi brings significant experience from his time at Unilever, where he served as the executive vice president of the marketplace and chairperson of Unilever Indonesia. His recent relocation to India suggests a commitment to leading Ola through its new phase of development.
