Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages appoints Kamlesh Kumar Sharma as CCO

Close on the heels of appointing Vijay Parasuraman as the new Coca-Cola India Marketing Head and announcing a slew of leadership changes at Coca-Cola and its bottling department Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB), now Kamlesh Kumar Sharma has been appointed as the first ever Chief Communications Officer for HCCB. 

In this role, Sharma will lead the corporate reputation and brand building exercise for the company and will be based in Bengaluru. He will be reporting to Christina Ruggiero, CEO, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages. 

Commenting on Sharma’s appointment, Christina Ruggiero said, “We warmly welcome Kamlesh to HCCB. We are excited at the prospect of being able to leverage his rich experience in brand building and communication, when HCCB sets foot towards the next phase of growth. We are transforming ourselves into a total beverage company that has expertise in producing a variety of beverages, is digitally savvy, nimble and is integrated with the local community. Kamlesh will have a significant role to play in shaping the HCCB brand and its reputation.” 

Sharma has been associated with the Coca-Cola Company for over 11 years and had served as Director, Corporate Communications and Alliances in his last role. He has over 18 years of industry experience.
