A recent survey by about breakfast habits of travellers around the globe, reveals global insights ranging from the table etiquettes of travellers to the country with the best breakfast.

According to the survey from global hotel experts, (, (73 percent) of global travellers wake up early for hotel breakfast while on holiday. It's no surprise then that ( 22 percent ) admit to always going back for seconds and even thirds at a buffet spread. 36 percent of holiday goers prefer to be experimental and try everything on the menu, while only (5 percent) people tend to waste food at a buffet.

Few travellers (3 percent) were candid about using their pockets as makeshift doggie bags, ensuring they get to enjoy their hotel breakfast buffet throughout the day. Surprisingly, more than one fifth of travellers (21 percent) prefer to carry their own breakfast while travelling or going on a vacation.

Understanding the common notion that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, most travellers do try and enjoy the local cuisines and prefer to start their day with a sumptuous their hotel breakfast.
