Elara Capital's senior analyst, Karan Taurani, has been appointed as an independent director on the board of Kavithalayaa Productions Pvt Ltd, a South India-based production house.
Founded by the late Dadasaheb Phalke Awardee, Dr K Balachander, Kavithalayaa Productions boasts an illustrious 42-year history in the production of feature films, and television content. The company has played a pivotal role in shaping the South Indian entertainment landscape.

Notably, Kavithalayaa Productions introduced actor Rajinikanth to the industry in 1975. Since 1982, Rajinikanth has been featured in 10 films produced by Kavithalayaa, solidifying the strong bond between the actor and the production house.
