Kya hai do saas wali Suman ka kissa… find out in &TV’s new fiction show EK VIVAH AISA BHI

Shakespeare once said, “What’s in the name?” (Naam mein kya rakha hai?). But try changing the name of a relationship and see how equations change overnight. Have you ever heard of a girl living with two mothers-in-law under the same roof? Or a girl having two nanands who are also her bhabhis? Confused? This is exactly how Suman’s life is! Unravelling the mystery behind these unusual and complicated relationships, &TV presents its new fiction show – Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi. Starring Sonali Nikam, Abhishek Malik, Tassnim Sheikh and Himani Shivpuri in pivotal roles, the show premieres this February 6th and will air every Monday-Friday at 7:30 pm on &TV.

Set against the backdrop of Indore, Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi follows the story of a young 24-year old Suman Parmar (Sonali Nikam) who lives with her mother-in-law (Himani Shivpuri), two younger sisters-in-law and a 4-year-old son. Upon her mother-in-law’s insistence and in a bid to support the family after her husband’s death, Suman pursues MBA and is juggling between home, her responsibilities and college. While studying, she receives a marriage proposal from her classmate Ranveer Mittal (Abhishek Malik) which turns her life upside down as she now has another mother-in-law (Tassnim Sheikh) to manage. Besides, her sisters-in-laws have now become her jethanis in the Mittal household. How will Suman handle her new life with two mothers-in-law and the change of relationships? Will she ever be able to reciprocate Ranveer’s love?

Tassnim Sheikh aka Sindhura Mittal says, “The unusual concept and a powerful character is what appealed me the most about Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi. Sindhura is a woman with beauty, intelligence and class and is prefect at whatever she does. I am sure audience will love Sindhura’s unique ways and relate to the story.

Himani Shivpuri who plays the role of Kalawati says, “Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi explores different dynamics of the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law relationship. My character of Kalawati is traditional yet modern at the same time, she gets her widowed daughter-in-law to pursue MBA, even though she has a personal motive.”

Sonali Nikam who plays the role of Suman says, “My character of Suman is unlike what viewers have usually seen lead protagonists play in many ways. Suman is a simple girl living an unconventional life. She finds happiness in others and always puts her family’s needs before her own. The role has several layers which are interesting and challenging for me as an artist.”

Abhishek Malik aka Ranveer Mittal shares, “My character of Ranveer is that of a rich, smart, charming boy who is also the most eligible bachelor in town. Though he is a prankster, he has a heart of gold. Playing Ranveer has given me an opportunity to showcase a myriad of emotions and has also taken me back to my college days.”

Produced by Nivedita Basu’s - The House of Originals, the ensemble cast also includes names like Rupin Pahwa, Sneha Gupta, Latika Gill amongst others in key roles.

Kya hai do saas wali ek bahu ka kissa, pata chalega jab Suman banegi Mittal parivaar ka hissa!

Tune-in to Ek Vivah Aisa Bhi and join Suman as she starts her journey from February 6, 2017, Monday - Friday at 7:30 pm only on &TV!
