Laurent Simon resigns from VMLY&R

Laurent Simon has resigned from his position as Chief Creative Officer at VMLY&R. He joined the agency in 2019. In his absence, the creative departments will be overseen by Nick Rowland, the Executive Creative Director, and Marco Bezerra, the Executive Creative Director for VMLY&R Commerce.

Notably, there has been an announcement about the merger of VMLY&R and Wunderman Thompson, which will now operate under the name "VML Together." This merger is expected to create the largest creative organization in the industry.

Laurent Simon began his career in 2007 as part of the 'Diageo Scholarship' program at BBH London. He later worked as a Creative at AMV BBDO from 2007 to 2011 and subsequently spent five years at Adam&Eve DDB. Before joining VMLY&R, he served as the Executive Creative Head at BBC Creative.
