MakeMyTrip appoints Amit Saberwal as Chief Business Officer, Intl. Markets

Amit Saberwal has been appointed as Chief Business Officer, International Markets for MakeMyTrip, India’s leading travel Company. In this newly-created position, Amit will concentrate on expanding MakeMyTrip operations and enhancing customer experience in international markets. He will also continue to lead the Hotels business for the Company, a role that he has been managing for past several years.

Amit has been with MakeMyTrip for over seven years and has helped develop the complete distribution of MakeMyTrip products through B2C and B2B channels across India. Previously he was Senior Vice President – Hotels & International Markets and his responsibilities included managing Online Hotels for the Company and business development in the overseas markets. Amit has also helped develop new business lines such as Domestic India holidays, Meetings & Incentives and Trade Fairs and is also responsible for setting up MMT's holidays call center.
 
Amit has over 20 years of experience in the Hospitality and Tourism industry. He has previously worked as Director Sales and Marketing with The Park Hotels in Bangalore and New Delhi.  Amit is a Hotel Management graduate with a Post Graduate Diploma in Sales & Marketing from National Institute for Sales, New Delhi. He spent time at Cornell University honing his professional skills as an hotelier.
