The Dirty Picture is set in the colorful and entertaining backdrop of South-Indian film industry of the 80s. This story is about the rebellious Reshma (Vidya Balan) who lived an impoverished lifestyle. She flees away to Madras to fulfill her dreams, landing up becoming ‘Silk’, the epitome of sensuality. Nothing stops the ambitious starlet to pursue what she needs, until she falls in unrequited love. To the world, she was the queen of sensuality. But at heart, she was just another woman yearning for love in a ruthless world. The movie shows her journey of life highlighting life changing moments.
