Maxus Kerala bags the media mandate for Mathrubhumi

Maxus Kerala has bagged the media mandate for Mathrubhumi. The development was a result of ongoing discussions between Mathrubhumi & Maxus. Maxus India will manage the business from its Thrissur office in Kerala. Prior to this the business was handled by a local agency.

Mathrubhumi, one of India's regional media corporation, is well known across dailies, magazines, internet & radio. Since the Indian regional media market expanding at a faster rate, Mathrubhumi too has several critical expansion plans charted out for the future.

Adgully caught up with Sanchayeeta Verma, GM South Maxus to know more about the development.

Commenting on the development, she said, "Mathrubhumi is a very significant addition to our client portfolio, especially for our Kerala office. This is not only on account of its significant advertising expenditure, but also because it is a media conglomerate in the expansion mode. Maxus has been part of the growth engine for many of its clients, and working with Mathrubhumi at this stage is both an opportunity and privilege that we are looking forward too."

When asked about account size, she told us that as per industry estimates it will around Rs 25 crore.

from the past two years, Maxus has had a full-fledged large-scale operation in Kerala from its Thrissur office. This along with Maxus and GroupM's unique full service offering under its "House of Media'- a vital edge to media companies operating within restrictions of where they can advertise, formed a key reason for Maxus coming on board as Mathrubhumi's AOR.
