Launching the G Series will see a proliferation of two new products in the market. Prime, to be drunk before exercise, will be sold in 4-ounce pouches in three flavors.

Recover, for post-exercise usage, will come in 9.5 ounce packages of three flavors and includes 16 grams of whey protein. Products to be used during exercise are the ThirstQuencher and the new G2 series.

The ThirstQuencher and G2 series will sport more flexible packaging and lower calorie content more visibly- calorie content dropping from 25 calories per ounce to 20.

Termed as the "sports drink of my father's generation" by teens, the launch which saw a drop in sales and volume of consumption of the G2 series early this year, revamped, is expected to climb by 3.3% come 2010.

Pepsico will highlight the G2 series, which may gain leverage at SuperBowl with athletes advocating Gatorade from the sidelines.
