Prabhat Khabar on a musical ride

These beautiful lyrics hummed in the Ghazal legend's silky voice aptly sums up the backdrop to An Evening with Ghulam Ali being organized by Prabhat Khabar in its three city domains of Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Patna. The series of Ghazal Evening is integral to the publication's five day long celebrations of Republic Day which is being observed as Peace, Progress & Prosperity initiatives with India's neighbor, Pakistan. Ghulam Ali brings with him not only his rich repertoire of mellifluous Ghazals but also his troupe of eminent musicians from Pakistan. Ghulam Ali enjoys a huge popularity and has a huge fan following in the culturally rich states of Jharkhand and Bihar.

Ghulam Ali, a renowned Pakistani Ghazal singer of Patiala Gharana, personifies the spirit of friendship between the two neighboring countries. Kick-starting the five-Day Republic Day celebrations the event, An Evening with Ghulam Ali, will first be staged in the Ranchi Gymkhana Club, Ranchi on January 26, 2011 where 5000 people will be enthralled through this Ghazal Evening.

Ghulam Ali and his distinguished troupe will next travel to the cosmopolitan Steel City of Jamshedpur, which is the largest populated city of Jharkhand. The Ghazal event will be held at the Sidhgora Town Hall on January 27, 2011. The leading industry magnets from numerous Tata Group companies based here and so also other industrialists from this industrial town will grace the Ghazal evening. The venue will host 2,000 people from the city.

In its last leg of the R-Day celebrations, the Ghazal evening will finally be held in Patna on January 29, 2011 at the prestigious Shri Krishna Memorial Hall where 2000 people will witness the Ghazal maestro weave silky Ghazals through the evening.
