Priya Dogra leaves Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA after 14 years

After a tenure of 14 years, Priya Dogra, the head of Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA, is stepping down from her position, as the role she held is being discontinued.
Since the high-profile merger of Warner Media and Discovery, Dogra has been in the capacity of President & Managing Director for the EMEA region. In a recent email addressed to the staff, Gerhard Zeiler, her superior, communicated that they had both reached a "mutual agreement" for her departure by year-end, reports Deadline.
In the forthcoming period, the EMEA team will report directly to Zeiler, and no replacement will be appointed for Dogra. The EMEA team is subdivided into regions, with individuals like Antonio Ruiz overseeing the UK and Ireland, Christina Sulebakk supervising the Nordics, and Jamie Cooke managing the Baltics, Middle East, Mediterranean, and Turkey.
Zeiler remarked that this news "may catch many off guard, especially given Priya's significant collaboration with me and her pivotal role in numerous crucial advancements within our organization during her tenure."
Having been affiliated with the company for nearly 14 years, she has ascended the organisational ladder, holding positions such as Head of Mergers & Acquisitions for Time Warner, Head of Strategy and Corporate Development for WarnerMedia, and President of Warner Media Entertainment Networks EMEA & APAC prior to several mergers.
She took on the substantial EMEA role under Zeiler's leadership, with numerous country managers reporting directly to her. Consequently, this move will not only astonish the staff but also the international community, as Zeiler noted. Notably, Dogra was slated to deliver the keynote address at the upcoming RTS London conference in a matter of weeks.
