Raksha Bandhan with the Indian Army; An initiative by Pidilite

Celebrating the spirit of Raksha Bandhan, Pidilite Industries Ltd joined hands with the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) for the second consecutive year to help our jawans posted at border enjoy the festival. With the festival around the corner Fevicryl Hobby Ideas, from the house of Pidilite Industries, rallied and partnered with children from over 150 schools across northern India encouraging them to showcase their respect, love and affection for the courageous jawans of Indian Army by hand-making and sending them about 60,000 beautiful rakhis.

Under the guidance of experts from Fevicryl Hobby Ideas, the children made attractive rakhis for their brothers at the borders who serve our country fearlessly. Using the innovative products from Fevicryl Hobby Ideas made it absolutely easy for the kids to express their creativity and make beautiful handmade rakhis.

In the capital, a mass drill was mobilized for this unique cause where over 18,000 students from over 55 schools in Delhi underwent a delightful and very educative workshop to create innovative, artistic and unique handmade rakhis. Renowned schools like Happy International School, Army School, Guru Herkishan Public School, DAV School and many more were part of this prestigious initiative.

Rahul Sinha, President, Consumer Products Art Stationary and Fabric, Pidilite Industries says, "we are happy to partner, with the kids, in this wonderful initiative which expresses our love and gratitude for the armed forces troops posted in border areas "

Spread over a one month period, these workshops were organized in cities like Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur etc. All these rakhis will be handed over to AWWA on July 24th which will then be sent over to the jawans guarding our borders.
