Sakal Media Group leads with world class ‘Delivering Change Forum 2017’

Sakal Media Group organized India’s first “Delivering Change Forum” (DCF) on 24th & 25th Jan 2017 AT NEHRU CENTRE MUMBAI. It was a platform created for inspiration, learning and transformation for leaders from diverse fields, focused on building better governments, better businesses and a better society.

Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the conference organized by Sakal Media Group and DCF (the advisory arm of Sakal Media Group), in co-operation with the Maharashtra State government and many prestigious institutions from across the globe. In his inaugural speech, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said: "This is the right time to implement new concepts leading to transformation in a country which has the largest youth population in the world. We have to strive hard so that these new emerging concepts reach policy makers and then are implemented”. 

DCF Founder and Chairman Abhijit Pawar elaborated on the concept of the conference. He said “Connecting boardroom to grassroots is crucial for bringing about a desired change in society and Delivering Change Forum (DCF) aims at connecting the dots and converging efforts for this transformation”. He further added that ‘Maharashtra which has a large pool of youth and it needs to be channelized to bring about the desired transformation’.  

Mr. Abhijit Pawar urged the participants to join hands in this work. “The SMG and DCF is a platform for development of women, youth and all sections of society" he said.

The DCF has been a forum to facilitate experts coming from various walks of life, working on various projects to bring in socio-economic transformation for the betterment of society. DCF has taken the lead in this direction. Experts from various countries and eminent invitees from across the State, who are active in several fields, will collaborate to bring about a positive change in Maharashtra.

Explaining the rationale, Pradeep Dwivedi, CEO- Sakal Media Group said “In today’s context, media has to transcend from being a passive informer and act as vital catalyst for larger change and progress in society. Hence, this conference was designed with enriching content and brought a world class line up of speakers discussing the key trends, innovations and concept proven models, all of which with one objective in mind: To help deliver positive change in society and lead more effectively in the current environment.”

Commenting on the occasion, Krishna Menon, CMO-Sakal Media Group said ‘Sakal is fulfilling its social commitment through initiatives such as Tanishka and YIN. As the social change is underway, developments in financial, educational and social sectors should reach all sections of society’. 

Many eminent personalities committed to bring about a positive change in the society by going beyond their respective professional goals, attended this two-day conference, which culminated in a progressive commitment to transformation in the state of Maharashtra.
