"Spirit W' takes you through the journey of Amrita Sadhu, a fun loving person go - getter.

"I started my career with a winter internship at the Roger Pereira office (now Edelman). That sparked an interest in me for public relations. After my MBA, I was with EURO RSCG, as a management trainee for three years", she said. Later she moved on to Madison PR and has been around for quiet sometime now.

When I asked about her inspirations she said, "Ms. Vinita Bali, MD, Britannia Industries is definitely one lady I truly admire and worship. She is powerful leader who has created a turnaround for her company in a very short period of time. I love her "go getter spirit "and humble nature. She is truly an inspiration to me."

Amrita, who loves reading, watching films and listening music and traveling, has been in the industry for over half a decade, "And I have enjoyed every bit of it. Whether it was working for lifestyle brands such as Wella, Fendi, Davidoff, Swiss tourism or promoting the Health sector with the Hinduja and Jaslok hospitals."

Sighting some of the works that she is proud of, she said, "The work I pride myself is the Influencer marketing programs that I organized for Britannia Shubh Kaamnyein and P&G beauty brands. I love being be challenged and the innovation that these two brands required, allowed me to really play to my skills and test myself at the same time."

Responding to the most inquisitive question of the Spirit W section, as to whether she feels that in the media space, women have an edge over men, Amrita firmly replied, "In my experience I have learned that the media industry calls for a lot of patience. You simply cannot allow yourself to succumb to pressure and you need to multi - task all the time."

She believes that there are times where things change last minute, there are unforeseeable holdups and one has to come to solutions quickly. The show, as they say must go on. "We women are born with these qualities and I feel that this can be the advantage over men", she opined.

Remarking critically on where media lacks organizationally, Amrita said, "The Media needs a more robust HR team who can attract as well as retain talent. There are so many people who are wasting away in fields not suited to them and this industry is just crying out for fresh young driven talent".

When asked, about how she would like to suggest changes in the way she has been perceived by her peers or senior associates, she said, "I have learned that age is definitely not a factor for seniority; its passion and caliber which drives the will to grow and will to win".
