Spirit W | Women are more systematic and organised by nature: Mediacom's Tracy Fernandes

Today we get you one more leading lady from the media space. She loves reading, walking and cooking, as she puts it in her own words- "My husband and I share an avid passion for travelling (preferably by Bike) and have done Mumbai - Karnataka, Mumbai - Goa in the past besides going to places around Mumbai." Spirit W gets you the effervescent, adventurous and focused Tracy Fernandes, Senior Business Manager- Interaction, Mediacom.

She started her career in the hospitality industry at the ITC Grand Maratha. Quite unusual for starters, she further adds, "Coming into the media was just luck I suppose. I got a job offer to work with Mid Day at a party actually. Post that I had an year long stint at NDTV and that is where I was introduced to the 'World of Digital' because I was part of the team selling the MSN desktop TV. Lintas was another offer that just happened and I jumped at it as it offered a whole lot more in terms of learning more about the digital space. Its where I realised my passion for planning and thinking for brands wholistically. I had found my niche and I went for it. Since then there has been looking back. From starting my Digital planning career on a 14 crore. online account (Ministry Of Tourism) to having brought P&G on digital at Mediacom, its been a long and satisfying 5 years."

Some of the work that she is really proud of have been for Ministry of Tourism (Lintas), P&G Gillette - Shave India Movement (Mediacom), Dell - Take your Own Path (Mediacom), P&G Gillette India Gaming Championship (Mediacom).

Fernandes finds inspiration in Stefi Graf for her silent strength, tenacity & humble demeanour off the court and Oprah Winfrey for turning the worst incident of her life into a cause and inspiring millions.
