Spotify Launches RADAR Podcasters Program to Help Emerging Creators Grow

Today, Spotify is launching RADAR Podcasters in 15 global markets, including India. This new program aims to elevate emerging podcasters around the world, providing them with support to grow their audiences.  Additionally, Spotify is announcing the initial slate of podcasters that will be spotlighted with the RADAR program. The first three podcasts chosen from India to be a part of this slate, include:

Anurag Minus Verma: In this podcast, Anurag discusses various socio-political issues with people coming with knowledge, intellect, experience, and authenticity.

Chumma conversations with Satshyaa: In her personal audio journal, Satshyaa gives us a peek into her life, and also interviews creators on their lives, love, and the pains of growing up on the internet.

Getting Lost with Archit and Shirin: All About Food: Archit & Shirin are two amateur cooks with a fondness for carbs, chocolate, and cheese. In their podcast, they talk about exactly that and share recipes, household tricks, and some really fun stories that only self-taught cooks can tell.

On a quarterly basis, participating markets will give 2-3 emerging creators a spotlight – selected from the millions of podcasters using Anchor, Spotify’s podcast creation platform. Chosen creators will benefit from editorial placements on podcast playlists and community hubs to gain exposure right where audiences are listening.

In India, Spotify will focus on a different local language every 3 months. For the next round of this initiative, the focus will be on Tamil, one of the fastest growing languages on Spotify in India for both music and podcasts.

Through RADAR, Spotify is deepening its commitment to emerging creators and strengthening their connection to audiences. Through this program, more than 40 creators from around the world will be highlighted, in countries where podcasting continues to grow—the U.S, Brazil, Spain, Italy, Colombia, India, France, Argentina, Chile, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Netherlands, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
