Star Jalsha celebrates the homecoming of Mother Goddess

In a magnificent display of devotion and artistry, Star Jalsha is once again ready to usher Goddess Durga with ‘Ya Devi Sarbavuteshu,’ on the auspicious dawn of Mahalaya, on 14th October 2023 at 5am. For the first time in the Bengali television industry, Star Jalsha will focus on ‘Shiva Parvati’s Eternal Love Saga’ as a part of this presentation. This will portray the spiritual narrative of Shiv and Parvati through the perspective of Navarasa, depicting how their love, devotion, and strength are correlated. This epic series beautifully weaves together mythology, romance, and spirituality. The legendary war of Mahishasura Mardini, wherein the goddess Durga defeats the demon Mahishasur, will also be showcased in the end.

One of the highlights of this year’s Mahalaya celebration is the stellar cast of Koel Mallick, who will skillfully portray the multifarious roles of Sati, Parvati, and Durga supported by the brilliant Ronojoy Bishnu who will depict Shiv. Adding an extra layer of exhilaration to the occasion, Sandipta Sen and Trina Saha will also mesmerize the viewers with their unique dance performances. The proficient star cast will also include Gourab Mondal as Mahishashur, Payel Dey as Kali, Subhosmita as Mahamaya, Dipanwita as Annapurna, and Sushmita as Brahmacharini. Koel Mallick and Ronojoy Bishnu’s combined act of Shiv Parvati will be breathtaking as they will mesmerizing the audience with their exuberating dance performance. Their act will transcend the bounds of mere amusement and ascended into the world of divine artistry. Their graceful movements and chemistry on stage is sure to leave the viewers spellbound.

The show is produced by Surinder Films. The lighting and set design is so impeccable that it will give an impression that the gods themselves had bestowed their blessings on this remarkable execution. The harmonious melodies that backed the dance have added some extra wattage, and gave an impression that the very universe had orchestrated its celestial symphony to accompany the performances. The Mahalaya program will be a visible spectacle, with remarkable choreography, beautiful graphics, and a harmonious fusion of traditional melodies and modern musical compositions by the immensely talented music director Debojyoti Mishra.
