Vi Chosen by 4 Out of 5 New Telecom Users in Mumbai

As per TRAI subscriber data, 4 out of 5 new mobile customers in Mumbai have opted for the leading telecom services provider, Vi as their preferred telecom network. This is basis the effective new customers for the period February to June 2021.

Rajendra Chourasia, Operations Director- West, Vodafone Idea said, “In line with our commitment to continue enhancing customer experience for Vi customers in Mumbai, we have been deploying additional capex and latest technologies for the most efficient spectrum utilization. This has helped us enhance network capacities for our current and future requirements. The TRAI subscriber data for February to June period is a validation that we have been able to leverage these initiatives to delight existing customers as well as draw the larger number of new customers to Vi GIGAnet.”

Recently, Vi had also enhanced network capacity and efficiency in Mumbai with the deployment of additional 5MHz of 900 MHz spectrum, in addition to deployment of 5 MHz of 2100 MHz spectrum band achieved last year. These developments mean that Vi customers in Mumbai can experience the advantages of wider coverage, network quality and stronger traffic carriage capacity in Mumbai.

Vi also holds the largest quantum of spectrum in Mumbai, across 900, 1800, 2300 and 2500 bands.
