Voot all set with its upcoming series ‘Cyber Vaar – Har Screen Crime Scene’

In an era where our digital screens have become an extension of ourselves leading to a surge in our overall digital footprint,  incidence of cyber-crime has also increased dramatically. While the show is primarily entertaining, it will also educate audiences indirectly as each episode is based on relatable incidents inspired by real situations. It will shine a light on how vulnerable each of us are in today’s digital world. Intent on creating awareness on this is the upcoming original fiction series on Voot 'Cyber Vaar – Har Screen Crime Scene.’  After leaving the audience in a frenzy by unveiling the gripping trailer of the show, Voot is all geared up for the exclusive premiere of the Mohit Malik and Sanaya Irani-starrer on the platform! The crime thriller boasts of multiple spine-chilling cybercrime stories that will surely leave viewers on the edge of their seats. Cyber Vaar – Har Screen Crime Scene is slated to stream free on Voot from 10^th June 2022!

The Voot Original marks the debut of Mohit Malik in the OTT space. He will be seen playing the lead role alongside Sanaya Irani in the upcoming web series. The supporting cast of this series features Keshav Uppal, Neha Khan, Amitabh Ghanekar, and Indraneel Bhattacharya, to name a few. Produced by Tanveer Bookwala, the screenplay of this Ankush Bhatt directorial is penned by Nikhil Vyas and Kamayani Vyas.

Set against the backdrop of Mumbai, Cyber Vaar – Har Screen Crime Scene follows Cyber Crime Cell ACP Aakash Malik (played by Mohit Malik) on his daring mission to wipe out cybercrimes from the city. He embarks on this journey with the help of Ananya Saini (played by Sanaya Irani), tech expert who joins the cybercrime cell after preventing the servers of the Police from a vicious malware attack. Under the leadership of Commissioner Roy, the duo forms ‘TRACE’, a cybercrime team that includes a constable, Senior Inspector, and an IT expert, to solve cyber-based cases.

Speaking about his debut web series, Mohit Malik expressed, “I couldn’t think of anyone better than Sanaya to mark my digital debut with, especially when the project was as fascinating as Cyber Vaar – Har Screen Crime Scene. Along with it being my maiden web series, I am playing the role of a cop for the first time on-screen. With the help of their team, called ‘TRACE’, Aakash and Ananya will be seen solving cybercrime cases in Cyber Vaar, wherein each chilling case spans two episodes. Through our show, we aim to raise awareness about the ever-rising threat of cybercrimes across the country because it’s important to be well informed in today’s day and age where everything has become digitized. Lastly, I can assure the audience that each episode of Cyber Vaar will surely take them on a nail-biting ride, so watch it only on Voot.”

Leading lady Sanaya Irani added, “Unlike a lot of other crime thriller shows that the audience has watched over the years, Cyber Vaar – Har Screen Crime Scene doesn’t only focus on cybercrime but also delves into the interpersonal equations shared by the characters. We held a lot of readings to understand our roles in this web series better and to get into the skin of our characters. As Ananya Saini, I play a tech expert, who supports ‘TRACE’ on the tech front.
