Weekend Exclusive | Dreaming big with Kiran Kumar

Kiran shares that he knew at an early age that acting was what he wanted to do. Growing up he was surrounded by the glitz and glamour of bollywood. He drew his inspiration from the sights, sounds and aroma that filled his head when he visited movie sets, studios and photo sessions courtesy his father, who was part of this industry at the time. He passionately says, "It was just part of me."

Today, Kiran plays the role of Avtaar Sehgal in the recently launched show Chajje Chajje Ka Pyar on Sony. In the show his character is seen as the wise and mature yet humble man who enjoys the simplicities of life. Kiran states that the story of this show is one that we encounter in our day to day life. The Sehgal family could be yours or your neighbours¦ Que sera sera!

Kiran holds the role of Kundan from the film Himmat and Gautam from the movie Anjaan Raahen very close to his heart. He add that his dream role would be to play Sherlock Holmes or to act in a show like Miami Vice in contrast he would also like to host shows on Discovery or History Channel.

This modest human being says that in order to be a good actor one must observe characters that surround us in real life. "Acting comes from your heart and it is important to believe in the role you play," he adds.

Kiran simply wants the youth to know that they must be sincere, focused and clear with the choices they make.
