Aaj Tak reaches 50 million subscribers on YouTube

Hindi news channel Aaj Tak has reached the 50 million subscriber mark on YouTube. To celebrate the accomplishment, YouTube's Managing Director for APAC, Gautam Anand, and Vice Chairperson of the India Today Group, Kalli Purie, met in Singapore.

In 2009, Aaj Tak opened a YouTube channel, and in 2017, it started live-streaming news on the site. Due to the channel's popularity, YouTube awarded it a Diamond play button in 2019 for achieving 10 million subscribers. Just three years later, Aaj Tak has gained 50 million platform subscribers.
