BARC to take a call on data release

There has been a lot of buzz around MIB dictating terms for BARC. Recently they sent BARC a letter which was surprising for the body as they were told not to release data as they have not completed their registration process.

Reacting to that Shashi Sinha, BARC Technical Committee Chairman said, "We had submitted our application in November and MIB was the one who told us to speed up our process. The letter that we received today was surprising. This is a discriminatory practice."

On asking whether they will release data, Sinha said, "The Board is yet to take a call on that front." It is likely to follow what MIB says.
