Week 24 (Saturday, 13th June 2020 to Friday, 19th June 2020) on All Platforms saw quite some upheavals and new entries in the top 10 Hindi GEC rankings on All Platforms. Making the shift to FTA in March 2020 has paid off for Star Utsav, Colors Rishtey and Zee Anmol. As per BARC data [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 2+ Individuals], Star Utsav and Colors Rishtey registered huge gains this week.

All Platforms

After months in the numero uno position (with the exception of the few weeks during the peak lockdown period when DD National surged to the top on the back of the re-telecast of ‘Ramayan’, Dangal has moved out of this position. Star Utsav, which has been seeing gains in the last few weeks, climbed up 4 notches from the fifth spot to No. 1 in Week 24. It may be noted here that the channel had turned FTA in March this year around the time when the nation-wide lockdown was declared. Star Utsav garnered a gross viewership of 855,595(000), a further jump from 538,138(000) recorded in Week 23.

On the other hand, Dangal slipped a notch to the second spot, recording a steep decline in its gross viewership to 818,263(000), as against 1,058,429(000) recorded last week.

Star Plus, too, slipped a notch to No. 3 in Week 24. At 744,313(000), the channel’s gross viewership has seen a decline, compared to 773,983(000) recorded last week.

Sony SAB remained unchanged at No. 4, but saw a decline in its gross viewership – from 773,983(000) in Week 23 to 688,491(000) recorded this week. Colors Rishtey, another channel that turned FTA in March this year, has also registered huge gains in Week 24. The channel, which had made a re-entry at No. 10 last week, made a jump of five notches to No. 5 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 617,276(000), a steep increase from 291,879(000) recorded in Week 23.

Continuing at No. 6, Sony Pal, too, saw an increase in its gross viewership to 565,659(000) from 445,871(000) recorded in Week 23.

Zee Anmol, yet another channel that had turned FTA in March 2020, is a new entrant to the top 10 list. The channel is placed in the seventh spot with a gross viewership of 441,716(000).

On the other hand, Big Magic, which was placed at No. 4 in Week 23, slid fourth notches to the eighth spot this week. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 437,326(000), a further decline from 576,534(000) recorded last week.

Colors has made a re-entry to this list this week at No. 9, garnering a gross viewership of 379,793(000).

Sony Entertainment Television slid a notch to No. 10 this week, garnering a gross viewership of 334,466(000), a decline from 352,677(000) recorded in Week 23.
