BBC Entertainment's 'Dancing With The Stars' to debut on Indian Television

The biggest entertainment show in the world- Dancing With The Stars coming to Indian television screens for the first time ever on 24th February 2011 at 8:00 PM, exclusively on BBC Entertainment.

Full of glitz, glamour, sequins and stardom, the show features professional Ballroom and Latin American dancers paired with celebrities in a knock-out ballroom dancing competition, performing a new dance every week. The cameras follow the couples throughout their dance training in the run up to the glamour of the main show, and the two couples with the lowest score enter a "dance-off' and the judges pick the one couple they will save.

This season of Dancing With The Stars boasts of reality star Kim Kardashian, swimsuit model and TV host, Brooke Burke, celebrity chef Rocco DiSpirito, singer Toni Braxton, stand-up comedian Jeffrey Ross, actor Ted McGinley, volleyball player Misty May-Treanor, Actress Cloris Leachman, TV legend Susan Lucci, Olympic sprinter Maurice Green, Hannah Montana star Cody Linley, N'Sync singer Lance Bass and NFL footballer Warren Sapp all putting their best foot forward.

The participants have to face three tough judges on the show: Carrie Ann Inaba' American dancer, choreographer, actress, singer and TV host. Len Goodman- British professional Ballroom dancer. Bruno Tonioli ' Italian Choreographer and TV personality.

Dancing With The Stars is a world renowned BBC format licensed to over 30 countries worldwide. It's been rated the world's most successful reality TV format by the Guinness Book of World Records and it made EMMY history in 2009 with 10 nominations, the most ever for a non-fiction show in a single year.

After captivating millions and achieving cult status in over six continents, the original version of the most sought after reality TV format will finally hit Indian TV screens on BBC Entertainment. Premiering on Thursday, 24th February, the show will air twice a week with performance episodes on Thursdays, followed with the results episodes on Fridays.

Over the seasons, Dancing With The Stars has seen contestants ranging from politicians, actors, pop stars, Olympic medallists, a Formula One Race driver and a Miss Universe dancing their way to the top. In the US, the show goes through around 500 pairs of eyelashes and 14 gallons of fake tan lotion every series!
