McCann Erickson picks Suraja Kishore as Planning Head - Mumbai

Suraja Kishore joins McCann Erickson as Planning Head – Mumbai. He moves in from Publicis Ambience, Mumbai.

A postgraduate of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, Suraja has been part of industry for over 17 years. Beginning as a copywriter with the then Chaitra Leo Burnett, Suraja also did an academic stint at MICA, where he conceived and executed the India’s first creative programme with specialisation in Copywriting & Art Direction.

Suraja began his planning stint with Mudra Delhi followed by Lowe Lintas, Mumbai. At Lowe he successfully led development of successful brand campaigns like that of Idea cellular – What an Idea, and the iconic Tata Tea – Jaago Re campaigns. The work brought him many awards including the Effies… He has worked on diverse categories and has cut his teeth on brand strategy and consumer insights for brands like Idea Cellular, Tata Tea, Croma, Ginger Hotels, Lakme, Axa Insurance, Citibank, Park Avenue Men grooming products, World Gold Council, Renault Duster, Henko Detergent, Tata Automotive, Hershey’s Milk Mix, Electrolux, Yamaha Motorcycles, Ariel Detergent and Suzlon among others.
