Navneet Sehgal Named Prasar Bharati Board Chairman

Navneet Kumar Sehgal, a retired IAS officer from the UP Cadre (1988 batch), has been named the Chairman of the Prasar Bharati Board.

Under the terms of the official announcement, Sehgal's appointment is set for a three-year period or until he reaches 70 years of age, whichever comes first.

Throughout his career, Sehgal has been a key figure in the administrations of Mayawati, Akhilesh Yadav, and Yogi Adityanath. Known for his pivotal role in CM Yogi's government, he was recognized as a primary problem solver and a close adviser to the Chief Minister. Before being moved to the sports department, he served as the Additional Chief Secretary in charge of the Information Department.
