New Features and Insights announced by Meta for International Women’s Day

As part of the events hosted by Meta on International Women’s Day, it has announced a gamut of features, besides having a discussion on metaverse. On how women can shape the metaverse and what will it mean to female users when it comes to future of connection, Meta’s chief diversity officer Maxine Williams, with five other VR creators, has carried a discussion on this.
The excerpts from the discussion is below –

It is an invirogating discussion on the future of metaverse, and how VR/avatar meetings can be held in future. It can also help to fundraise through Reels on Instagram and Facebook to support charities with the help of TikTok alike features.
Meta besides hosting a range of female oriented VR content, which include concerts by Billie Eilish and Charlie XCX in Horizon Venues, and introducing new documentary series, is also including new profile frames and custom avatar stickers to commemorate the event. It has also included a new range of features for Messenger Kids and Messenger, with the introduction of several ways to take part in Women’s History Month and Women’s day in its apps.
Metaverse has an important role to play here by facilitating increased opportunities for the female creators. Meta’s metaverse vision is surrounding VR, and it is re-orienting the larger discussion on its next projects. Meta is using the term metaverse now for all its recent and future tech developments, instead of the standard term VR. Thus the more we are connecting to metaverse, the more we are connecting to Meta, with the comprehensive overview favouring its developing technologies.
