Pavan Chandra quits VivaKi India to has join Mogae Media as Chief Incelligence Officer

Pavan Chandra, Head of VivaKi Nerve Centre, India, has joined Mogae Media as Chief Incelligence Officer.

Mogae Media is the new mobile monetization venture launched recently by Sandeep Goyal, former JV partner of Dentsu in India. Mogae Media is the sole & exclusive partner of Airtel for marketing its entire advertising inventory.

"Pavan is a dreamer and a doer. As an evangelist for a new medium, he has just the right mindset and experience," says Gaurav Luthra, Chief Business Officer of Mogae Media, whom Pavan will partner.

Pavan says he has travelled across geographies and assignments to search for "the next big thing'. He thinks he now has found one in the evangelizing of mobile as a medium for brand communication and branded commerce. Pavan specializes in gaining insights on media behavior of consumers. His experience lies in deploying tools and technologies for tracking and measuring media habits. Which is why his domain at Mogae will be "Incelligence' ¦ intelligence derived from cellular usage.

After doing Economics from Delhi University, Pavan studied advertising and public relations. His first job took him to Times of India selling space in magazines like Dharmayug and Femina. From there he moved to directing and producing ad-films before joining JWT in the media planning department working on clients like Pepsi, Nestle and GSK. He has now been 24 years in the business of advertising.

Post JWT, Pavan has worked across diverse markets : Singapore, Jordan, Taiwan & Hong Kong in media planning in various positions with agencies like DY&R, Initiative, Mindshare, McCann Erickson and ZenithOptimedia. Prior to joining Mogae Media, he set up the VivaKi Nerve Centre in India.

Pavan is married and lives in Gurgaon with his mother, wife, nine cats, two dogs and other visiting animals in a constant state of chaotic co-existence. He likes to swim and relax in the hills to get away.

"2012 will be the Year of the Mobile," says Pavan. "The versatility of the medium, the customer knowledge and the pinpointed targeting makes mobile a medium that will create its own space in clients' marketing plans. We are here to make it happen".
