PlatformPlay names Neha Jolly as Director & Head of Sales

Newly launched start-up PlatformPlay has made its first senior level appointment by bringing in Neha Jolly as its Director of Sales. Neha was Regional Manager at Nokia Navteq prior to joining PlatformPlay, which is Ram’s second entrepreneurial venture.

Neha’s prime role at PlatformPlay is to build a solid sales team to begin with and then look at coverage in the market across India with a set of offerings, the company is about to announce. Neha has worked with Yatra.com, Kale Consultants, Amadeus India and Spanco Telesystems before her Nokia Navteq stint. A proven digital pro, Neha has over 8 years of experience across verticals and has been a pivotal force at Nokia Navteq for their location based targeted advertising.

On Neha’s appointment, Rammohan Sundaram, CMD of PlatformPlay said, “In this growing digital market of India, I needed a mix of aggression, patience and a go-getter who not only understands the business but also has the requisite start-up experience where things change so rapidly and to accustom oneself to the dynamic needs of the market I couldn’t think of anyone else but Neha and we had decided on her joining way back in February when I did not even have a clear plan of what I am going to do. Plus I have known Neha for very long, which is always an added advantage. I am sure that she would drive PlatformPlay with all her capability to the next level of growth.”

Ram recently announced PlatformPlay post his exit from his previous venture NetworkPlay, which was acquired by Bertelsmann AG’s Gruner + Jahr last year, till February he was Chairman for ad:tech India and post the successful completion of ad:tech he launched PlatformPlay with investments from SVG Media and Manish Vij is on his board.

Neha Jolly added, “I have always wanted to work with Ram but the right opportunity never came by but when Ram spoke to me about this role I just accepted it because I know with Ram at helm the progress of PlatformPlay will be at a very fast clip and I just can’t wait to get started. Our strategy is extremely clear and the offerings we are about to announce are the first of its kind for the digital advertising fraternity in terms of transacting audience. We are in exciting times and I am confident that I will be able to drive this at the pace Ram expects me to.”

PlatformPlay is India’s first digital company to offer BOT, Consulting, Representation and JV as models under one roof, established in 2013, it’s looking to spread its wings across Mumbai and Bangalore in April by setting up its offices there.
