Ram Sewak Sharma to serve TRAI for another 2 years

Telecom regulator, Ram Sewak Sharma who hit the headlines recently for voluntarily revealing his Adhaar number and threw down an open challenge to critics to do him 'any harm' has been given two more years to serve as the head of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI). Sharma's term was to come to a close this week.

The former IAS officer will continue to serve until the age of 65 as per the Government order. The actions of the TRAI chairman sparked a buzz on social media raising questions as to the security implications of revealing one's Adhaar information.
