Rantankar Bharti quits Rediff

Ratnakar Bharti has decided to call it a day at Rediff. He joined Rediff in 2003 and climbed the ladder to operate as Regional Head (West) ' Media Sales before parting ways with the internet giant. Adgully has gained the news of this development through extremely reliable sources.

Adgully tried contacting Ratnakar but calls on his phone got no response.

Ratnakar is moving to ideacts and will be looking after the media ad sales department. He will work closely with Saurabh Khullar who is the co-founder of the company. ideacts is an internet media venture that is currently offering CLINCK ' a desktop application that also couples up as a cyber café management and security application.

CLINCK offers popular internet application shortcuts right on the desktop and also acts as a tool for brand promotion activities.

Ratnakar brings with him a healthy experience of 10 years. He started his professional life by getting associated with Competent Automobiles back in 1998 and followed that with a stint at Indiabulls where he was responsible for roping in stock market investors to register for the mechanism of online trading. At Indiabulls, Ratnakar added close to 200 people to the site for online trading.

He also had a brief spell at Business Standard where he was first experienced the methods of online media sales and went on to handle clients like Maruti, Seagrams, Samsung and PNB.

Prior to joining Rediff, Ratnakar was with Intercept Technologies. He worked on clients like MakeMyTrip, Canon, Samsung, LG and Motorola during the two years he was with Intercept. This was followed with joining Rediff as in March 2003.

Ratnakar was initially with Rediff's Delhi office and worked under the umbrella of ad-sales reporting to Regional Head (North). He was later appointed Regional Head (West) ' Media Sales in October 06 and led a team comprising of 7 ad-sales contributors.
