Reliance Broadcast Network and its 5x growth in 5 years!

The Reliance Broadcast Network Limited (RBNL), part of Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group (ADAG) on Wednesday revealed their 5x growth in 5 years. The brand was born with a launch of India's biggest radio network, 92.7 BIG FM. The brand BIG, a multi-media entity, is all set and is confident of maintaining its 30% growth rate by increasing the reach of radio channels and targeting top end television audience.

RBNL's radio business is at a mature stage and has delivered good results and currently contributes around 70% of its revenues. It is widely spread with 45 stations reaching over 3.57 crore Indians each week. It is presently spanned over 45 cities, 1000 towns and 50000 villages but the Brand is now looking forward to expand more markets and geographies.

Tarun Katial, the Chief Executive Officer of RBNL said "within a short span of time and with distinctive content and innovative promotion 92.7 BIG FM has established leadership in the FM space."

The BIG CBS Pvt. Ltd, a joint venture between reliance Broadcast Limited and CBS Studios International, is changing the way English entertainment is served to Indian audiences. It has already launched 3 channels ' BIG CBS PRIME, which is a premium English general entertainment Channel basically for men, BIG CBS SPARK, which is the first international youth channel and BIG CBS LOVE, which is an international entertainment channel for urban contemporary couples.

The channel offers immediate access to authentic CBS programs including some of the most popular television programs as well.

Nikhil Mirchandani, the Business Head, television, RBNL said, "BIG CBS is unique as these channels provide original and authentic content and broadcasts all top shows from U.S.A and also there is exclusivity in the content of the channels,"

BIG CBS channels are already entertaining an extensive collection of audience through digital cable and DTH platforms like Hathway, In Cable, Digi Cable, DEN, 7 Star, Reliance Digital, Videocon D3H, Sun Direct, WWIL, ICC and will soon go live on Airtel digital TV.

The channel BIG MAGIC has marked RBNL's entry into the regional entertainment space and is positioned as India's first and only channel for Hindustan which is the core Hindi heartland for Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. It features local relevant entertainment in terms of music, bollywood, humor and movies.

BIG RTL, which is a 50-50 JV of The RTL Group (a leading European Entertainment Network) and RBNL will be launching thematic television channels in India. Nikhil Mirchandani stated, "We will be launching 2 RTL channels."

BIG LIVE conceptualizes and markets high end televised intellectual properties across almost every relevant entertainment platform.

BIG STREET, a out of home business, also markets key properties along with all inventory assets of the Reliance Group, focusing on premium marquee properties e.g Delhi Airport Metro Express and Mumbai Metro.
