Star Jalsha presents a new family comedy Drama Bouma Ekghor

Star Jalsha is all set to present Bouma Ekghor - a family comedy drama to refresh the Bengali audience after a hectic day at work or home. The show promises laughter and entertainment galore for the entire family.

 

Bouma Ekghor is a story of the families of two brothers- one being more affluent and modern and the other being traditional and- not so well off. However, both compete with each other over who has the best Boumaa.

 

Tiya, a simple good-looking girl who enjoys daydreaming and no desire to work. She dreams about travelling abroad after her marriage. But coincidentally, she gets married to this traditional family looking for a working girl for their son. But they later get to know that Tiya does not have any job or degree. Her in-laws, especially mother-in-law wants her to find a job and save her reputation. What ensues is a series of events surrounding the jobless Tiya who is compelled to portray that she has a hi-fi career.

 

In this show, the role of Tiya will be played by actress Sushmita Dey, Raju will be played by Debjyoti Roy. Also featuring in other important roles are some of the most popular artists of the Bengali entertainment industry including Chaiti Ghosal, Nibedita Mukherjee, Riya Dutta, Jina Tarafdar, Laboni Bhattacharya and Somasree Naskar.

 

The show is produced by Boyhood productions led by Susanta Das who created Ke Apon Ke Por, which captivated the hearts of its viewers for more than 4.5 years. They have given Bengal inspiring characters like Gramer Rani Bina Pani, Titli, Phoring and an iconic character like Joba.

Bouma Ekghor will be on air from 2nd May at 6:30 PM everyday only on Star Jalsha SD and Star Jalsha HD.
